If it’s true, and I do think it is, that the way we eat is the way we live, then… eating should be fun!
Humans were given at least 5 senses to experience life fuller:
Without half of these senses, we would never want to eat. Food would just satiate our biological hunger. It would not give us the visual, sensual and satisfying experience.
It would not be pleasurable or fun to eat.
That’s why we got a waffle maker (it was dubbed as a Christmas present for one of our kids… but you know… it was really for the whole family!).
Waffles are entirely unnecessary, let alone a waffle maker.
Why make waffles when you can make pancakes? The batter is exactly the same for the most part. It’s just a fancier cousin that promises more holes for butter to melt into.
Because it’s FUN.
So I thought, why not make a savory waffle in the said maker. It turned out so well that I am not sure if it was the presentation, the taste, or… the whole experience of involving all of the 5 senses.
I’m going to go with the latter.
Enjoy and, have fun making and eating!
