Overeating is the reason we are not at our natural body weight, or your ideal weight (where you feel healthy, happy, and comfortable in your own skin).

How to stop overeating is the single most important question when it comes to natural weight loss.

You now, I hope, know that it’s not about dieting.

It’s really not even about food: donuts, chips & salsa or french fries don’t cause us to overeat.

Our brain chatter causes us to overeat. 

The solution to end overeating, then, is to reduce and eventually eliminate the chatter.

Today’s weight loss tool is a simple way to stop the brain chatter.

It’s using a sentence you will repeat to yourself instead of the chatter.

You’ll come up with one sentence that works for you.

Here are some that have been helpful for my weight loss clients:

  • I don’t overeat. 
  • I am in control of my actions.
  • Hunger is not an emergency.
  • I can take care of myself.
  • This is easy. 
  • I respect my body.
  • I can wait until I am really hungry.
  • Food is fuel. 
  • I make good decisions for me. 
  • I love my body. 
  • I trust myself.

What sentence can you use to stop your overeating during the chatter in your brain?

Food has no control over you. Your brain does.
